Welcome to our first ever attempt at doing the AIDS/Lifecycle. It took a lot of time, hard work, and tons of fundraising to get here. Thank you to all of the wonderful donors who made this possible. You rock!

On this blog, you can keep up with our entire journey through written updates, photos, and even videos (hopefully lots of videos)!

We will not only be documenting our time on the ride, but also nearly all of our adventures in California. It starts with a road trip to the wine country with Scott's parents and ends with what hopes to be a lovely beach wrap up in San Diego.

So stay tuned daily to check in where we are at, what we are doing, and if we are remotely surviving this exciting journey for one really amazing cause.

And that is the end to this adventure.  Due to time constraints and general disorientation from living life on a bike for a full week, a lot of amazing people were not featured in this blog.  Special thanks to wonderful Team Colorado members: Jeremy J., Tanner P., Thomas G., Skip P., Joshua A., Eric T., Ryan H., Don H. Alejandro and Leah L., Brian S. and Eric W.

And with it all said and done… With it all behind us… We had to take one more photo of the three of us.  Combined with the amazing support and encouragement from the wonderful Randi, we successfully made it through this entire event together, riding every mile we could, as one awesome solid safety net for one another.

Another close up shot of the finish line in LA.  It took SEVEN FREAKING days to get there.  It was almost surreal to be done.

Us crossing the finish line!  Oddly enough, Isaiah, Luke and I… the three of us… who really stayed together through out the entire thing… got the shot together at the finish line.  I couldn’t think of a more perfect set up.

Team Colorado posing together right before the finish line. Then we all hoped on our bikes and officially road in to the LA finish line together. As tough as it was to heard everyone together, the photo and riding in together actually meant a lot to me.

Other awesome ALC Team Colorado folks at the Half way 2 LA point: Jeff, Dan, Randi, Ryan, and Jon-Michael. (They were all really fast, early risers, and extremely motivated.  Hence each day, once we road out, we didn’t see any of them again until camp.  They rocked their power legs to the max).

Luke and Isaiah (and other ALC’ers) taking shelter in large moving vehicles on Day 2.  I was already swept in and taking shelter with medics at the church.  We hadn’t found each other yet and Luke had no idea I was in the state I was in at the time.  But I am glad he sought out the adventure and fun amongst the frigid catastrophe.

Isaiah, Luke, and I (in that order) on the first day at rest stop one.  The fog cleared and the sun came out.

The night after orientation. Team Colorado having a big group dinner at an awesome restaurant before the big ride kicks off the next day. Long story short, I ate bacon.

Now after going through some stuff…

It looked like the videos did not work all that great.  Bummer.  But the pictures came out well.  I wish I would have done more.  But I will post a few more flash backs on the ride and then wrap this blog up to an end (for those of you who may still be checking in on it).
